Ruby Independent Advocacy
Flexible, Low barrier, Authentic Advocacy.
Ruby Independent Advocacy is an alternative approach to street advocacy. Led by Victoria DeVasto - an Advocate with extensive experience in social services, behavioral health, activism and street-based homeless services.
Ruby exists because systems often require people to automatically trust services that do not stay with them. Case managers change, programs end, referrals stack up, and relationships break before progress can take hold. Ruby is built to do the opposite: stay present, follow through, and earn trust by building rapport over time.
The Mission is to provide consistent, trusted support to people experiencing homelessness and housing instability.
